Methodologies

Neos-SDI’s Innovation Center consultants execute proven methodologies through a lens of pragmatism that
showcases their 10- to 20-plus years of professional business experience.

In addition to the portfolio of conventional methodologies associated with strategic consulting and project management, our Innovation Center consultants are trained in three additional methodologies:  Immersion Analysis, "Blue Ocean" Value Innovation and Assistance and Knowledge Transfer.

Analysis and Immersion

Innovation requires that the people involved in the process, live the solutions in their everyday life: live your business processes, share your techniques, get in the shoes of your users and customers.

ethnography, practice type, records the organization of a community of employees
ethnology, of a more formal and reflexive sets from these descriptions the general lines of structure and evolution of this community
anthropology compares similar themes among different communities .

Because each client is unique, and each client belongs to one or more groups, communities, tribes, consumers and stakeholders, it is essential to analyze the ethnographic, ethnologic and anthropologic behaviors.

Because differentiation through innovation must target the best value proposition for each user, it is essential to immerse ourselves in their daily lives.

Using research methodologies such as individual and group interviews, value analysis, change management, and years of experience, our Innovation Center consultants immerse themselves in your environment to deliver a detailed analysis and recommendation of deliverables.

Value Innovation - Blue Ocean

The Blue Ocean Strategy® is focused on market-driven innovation to generate sustainable growth. For companies in a saturated market where products like growing and where the price war is raging, must overcome the constraints of its market.

To exit the "Red Ocean" of competition, companies have to make a huge increase in value and effect a paradigm shift that will lead to the creation of a completely new market: a Blue Ocean.

The goal of this paradigm shift is to discover new criteria for adding value to the customer, regardless of the accumulation of technology or the effectiveness of marketing.  Once shifted, it becomes possible to communicate key differentiators and price, eliminating the superfluous and meeting the real needs of the client.

Using a value-analysis approach and analytical tools to both maximize the value of innovation and maximize the profit margin, we are able to proactively change the market and strategically carve out a new position.

This strategy applies to any type of enterprise or innovation project: from the very small to the very large; from an improved product to the creation of an entirely new product.

This methodology has been successfully implemented by the Innovation Centre consultants for several years with companies in all sectors and all geographies.

Change Management

Innovation leads to several internal and external changes - strategic, organizational, cultural and technological; all of which need to be:

  • aligned to the corporate business strategy
  • reflected in the business model
  • optimized in all operational procedures

Innovation Center consultants  include methods of change management in every step of the transformation process in order to eliminate any barriers to adopting the new solution and to ensure individual and group dynamics facilitate the process of ownership of those new solutions.

DSN

To gain continuity of service and performance, DSN, moved its information system into a Hyper-V cluster; an architecture that stands out for its ease of operation.

In production since late 2009, the solution already provides tangible benefits with the time to access applications significantly reduced.   Additionally, Hyper-V provides a technical foundation on which DSN will be able to accommodate new business applications and collaboration.

"With this platform, we are now equipped to carry out our plans for PRA, GED and, more generally, to better manage our information"

Natixis

Natixis participated in the Microsoft TAP program to address the migration of its servers from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008.

A key influencer in the decision to migrate from 2003 to 2008 was Windows PowerShell, the new scripting language from Microsoft that provides powerful control and supervision over the "High Availability" Windows Server 2008 for their critical applications.

"The ability to test Windows Server 2008 before buying it was a real asset. This allowed us to learn about new features and improvements but also to budget for the migration of our servers." François Dominati, Team Leader at Natixis

SPEIG

Colas Group was searching for a way to consolidate and organize information previously broadcast across various internal portals.  The solution Neos-SDI proposed was the creation of a world-class Intranet "e-Colas."

Neos-SDI quickly ramped up on the project and designed, in a short time, an intranet solution that was stable, sustainable and scalable based on an approach and methodology appropriate for their business needs.

"The ability of Neos-SDI to ramp up so quickly on a project they had not initialized is remarkable. This is certainly the mark of rare technical expertise." Wurffel Olivier, Director of Developments Speig

AstraZeneca

To remain competitive in a highly saturated market, AstraZeneca must differentiate themselves by offering innovative tools. The IT department decided to redesign the information systems architecture by building it on Microsoft technologies in order to accelerate the development cycle and ensure better project management. Neos-SDI participated in the development of the technical architecture by implementing .Net technology, and developing strategic business applications designed for process optimization and encourage information sharing within the different sectors of the group.

"We found a partner to accompany us on the development of strategic applications: Neos-SDI is known for this technological expertise. Understanding our requirements, they were able to be creative in bringing us pragmatic answers." Blangeard Kim, Project Manager AstraZeneca

GO Sport

By leveraging the BI tools in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the group Go Sport was able to significantly improve inventory management in ts stores, to the great satisfaction of its customers.   The new BI analysis tools allowed Go Sport to identify key preformance indicators that lead to better analysis of sales trends and inventory management.  By implementing changes based on this new information, we were able to simply and effectively contribute to the overall success of the brand.

"The progress created by the new Business Intelligence solution is tangible. The time we spent yesterday to find the data, consolidate it and finally cross out each index is now exclusively devoted to the study of dozens of key performance indicators. We already had the data but now we are able to access it and the accuracy of our projections in terms of sales or inventory management. This was a considerable gain for our company." Arnaud Scheffer, Assistant Purchasing Director

Altisys

The General Manager of Altisys wanted to integrate the new version of SQL Server as part of its overall development plans. Through an envisioning session with Neos-SDI where we were shown a variety of solutions, demos and a roadmap for implementation, Altisys obtained a comprehensive overview of existing solutions. The result: the discovery of Microsoft's BI offering and how that solution fit in with the roadmap of their future development plans.

"This format is effective in promoting exchanges between Neos-SDI consultants and our teams. We got concrete answers to our operational questions. Today we know this Microsoft technology matches the expressed needs of our customers allowing us to anticipate our future developments, incorporating features that take full advantage of this technology."
